The perfumer’s insight:
Like a poison and antidote at the same time. Full of intense dark woods, wild and defiant, reserved for the bold. Savage with an air of sophistication and dancing with danger.
With the 'Grand Cru' Patchouli from Indonesia I have built a demanding, powerful and opulent perfume and played with the facets reminiscent of dark chocolate and tobacco. This particular Patchouli has more Chocolate facets, makes it the excellent Patchouli that inspires confidence, is very approachable and not overbearing. I have used an overdose of Patchouli, Amber and Sweet Almond. The sweet notes of Amber and Almond make the Patchouli softer and rounder and emphasize the Chocolate and Tobacco facets. The Patchouli is known for its intensity, I kept the intensity but filed off the sharp edges, softened, rounded as if the Patchouli is wrapped in Cashmere.
